The REDEMPTION Story
Our Beginning
I wrote the music for Redemption in January of 2024 with the intention of showcasing the amazing musicians I had the privilege of working with: Mark's incredible sense of time, Robert's total command of the piano and Larry's profound swing.
Peace for Palestine
I took elements from the Palestinian national anthem, together with themes from a string quintet I also wrote to honour the Palestinian struggle. It's intended as a blues based form that Larry grooves on beautifully
Intifada
In Arabic this means to shake things up - A change for the better. I wanted the quality of an anthem, a cry for something better.
